Why YCCA is a Great Choice For Your Child’s Education!
Prayer is THE Foundation
Prayer is an integral part of everything we are doing at YCCA. Prayer is important in developing and growing our personal relationship with God. Teachers and students will continually pray for each other during challenging times and good times. This provides an inclusive and loving learning environment where everyone feels supported and welcome.
Character Formation
YCCA is dedicated to providing its students with a safe and nurturing environment in which they will learn to make ethical and moral choices both in the present and over their lifetime. Our teachers use the curriculum to help bridge the gap in an era when character education is severely lacking. The average student will spend over 14,000 hours in school prior to graduation and this time is so important in developing their moral character and direction for life.
The Bible is Taught
The inspired Word of God is taught as a subject and an integral part in every class at YCCA. Your child will learn Bible stories, memorize scripture, and the truths of the Bible will become more familiar as they grow and learn. While the Bible is many centuries old, the message is timeless and is relevant for your child’s growth and development. Students have the opportunity to gain a better understanding of their curriculum as it relates to God’s word.
We Share Your Moral Values
YCCA will come alongside parents and the church to help build a strong moral foundation for your child. Our students will learn the first commandment to love God and second to love others. We want our students to grow as Jesus did…. “ in favor with God and man” (Luke 2:52). We believe that a healthy environment for learning includes authentic relationships, and that education should develop both intellect and character.
Teachers Model Christian Principles
Your child’s teacher is an important role model. Every teacher at YCCA strives to model the love, grace and compassion of Jesus Christ. Your child will spend a significant amount of time in the presence of their teachers and it is critical that a Christ-like example is set every day.
A Safe Environment
In addition to physical well being, YCCA offers a safe emotional and spiritual environment. Children are nurtured by loving and caring Christian teachers. Students are encouraged to express ideas, ask questions, and openly learn to think for themselves. Bullying and lack of respect for others is not tolerated.
Positive Peer Pressure is Everywhere
Having peers with similar values helps complete a nurturing environment. Students are expected to reinforce positive habits, as well as positive attitudes. Our teachers are mentors and encourage each student to always do their best. Whole child development – We believe that education should develop both intellect and character, thereby equipping students for lives of servant leadership. We seek to inspire and encourage each student to discover and develop his or her God given talents, preparing them for future success.
