Yellowstone Classical Christian Academy meets Monday through Thursday in a historic church building in Joliet, Montana, serving students from kindergarten through 5th grade.
Conveniently located in the heart of Joliet, YCCA meets in a historic church building with two dedicated classrooms. Students also benefit from easy access to the park, library, post office, and other parts of the community, creating meaningful opportunities for learning beyond the classroom
We never want cost alone to keep a family from exploring the school, so we encourage you to reach out and learn what support may be available. Most YCCA families receive some form of financial assistance through ACE Scholarships or YCCA’s own tuition assistance program. Please reach out to Virginia for more information.
YCCA currently serves elementary students and is intentionally adding grade levels as the school grows. Our long-term vision is to provide a complete K–12 classical Christian education while maintaining the close-knit community that makes our school special.
Families travel from communities across the region to attend YCCA. If distance has been holding you back, we’d love to talk with you. As our school community grows, we’re exploring transportation solutions and helping families connect around carpools whenever possible.
The admissions process always begins with a conversation. We want to get to know your family, hear what you’re looking for, answer your questions, and help you determine if YCCA is the right fit.
A typical admissions journey looks like this:
January through April is the ideal time to begin the admissions process for the following school year, allowing families to schedule a tour and meet important scholarship deadlines. However, we gladly welcome inquiries throughout the summer and will continue accepting students as space allows.
YCCA intentionally follows a Monday–Thursday school week, creating a healthy rhythm of focused classroom learning and giving families a dedicated Friday for flexibility. Fridays can be used for appointments, family time, enrichment activities, outdoor exploration, or simply enjoying the gift of a slower pace.

Many families are surprised to learn that YCCA is more affordable than they expected. Most of our families receive some form of financial assistance through ACE Scholarships or YCCA tuition assistance. We encourage every interested family to explore the scholarship opportunities available.

Many tell us the drive quickly becomes a meaningful part of their family’s daily rhythm, and we’re happy to help connect families interested in coordinating carpools whenever possible.
Many of our families have homeschooled or seriously considered homeschooling. YCCA shares many of the same values: strong academics, Christian formation, and intentional partnership with parents, while providing the structure, community, and classroom experience that many families are looking for.
That’s a fair question. Every school has to begin somewhere, and we’re grateful for the strong foundation that’s already been built. After a successful first year, with enthusiastic families, dedicated teachers, and generous community support, YCCA is growing intentionally with a long-term vision of serving families in our region for generations to come.
YCCA is unapologetically Christ-centered, with Scripture and a biblical worldview woven throughout the school day.
